Joseph W. Bommarito
(CEO)

Joe Bommarito has been a member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction Company from day one. He has worked in each department: field operations, field coordination, project management, equipment management, and estimating. Joe started out in the utility industry 26 years ago. He began with estimating and gained a complete understanding of daily costs. From there, he has spent over 10 years managing projects daily. Joe gained ownership of Bi-State Utilities in 1993, and founded Joseph W. Bommarito Construction in 1997. Joe has led this company and watched it grow from 10 people to 70 respected friends. He serves on the advisory board at Commercial Bank of Westport and the Ronald McDonald House Golf Tournament Committee. He is also a proud supporter and donator to Cystic Fibrosis, The Kilo Foundation, and The American Cancer Society. Joe is very proud of the growth that J.W. Bommarito Construction has experienced over 20 years, and he looks forward to the accomplishments and challenges that are to come.

Matthew J. Bommarito
(President)

Matt Bommarito has been a member of the JW Bommarito Construction since the beginning. He is a proud graduate of Saint Louis University, receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting and finance. Matt has helped expand this business into one of the largest site utility contractors in the Saint Louis area. He is proud to be a part of the JW Bommarito Construction family, and Matt looks forward to working with the amazing people that help to make it a success. JW Bommarito Construction strives to provide quality construction and most importantly complete projects on time and safely, according to Matt. He says it is nice to see the projects we have been a part of around the area, and he is proud of the work our crews have completed in the past 20 years.

Daniel M. Lenzen
(Vice President, CFO, and Shareholder)

Dan Lenzen has been a member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction team for 2 years. He is a construction industry veteran with 25 years of work under his belt. Dan is a proud graduate of Saint Louis University with a degree in Business Administration and Accounting. He feels that his biggest accomplishment has been aiding Joe and Matt in dealing with complicated situations that have come up along the way. Outside of work, Dan is the Athletic Association President at St. Clement of Roman Catholic Church, as well as being a member in both the Saint Joseph Academy and Saint Louis University High School Father’s Club. Dan enjoys that there is always something new and different going on at J.W. Bommarito Construction.

Hunter B. Henry
(Vice President, Senior Project Manager, and Shareholder)

Hunter Henry has been a proud member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction team for three years. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University where he received his Bachelors of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Hunter came to us with a combined 18 years experience in the commercial underground and heavy civil utilities industries. Since working at J.W. Bommarito Construction, Hunter feels that the Polar Bear Project in the Saint Louis Zoo was the most challenging, interesting, and successful projects that he personally managed. An avid cycler, Hunter participated in local charity rides across the Saint Louis area. He enjoys the exciting and fulfilling company culture and office atmosphere at J.W. Bommarito Construction.

Jordan Bommarito
(Corporate Secretary)

Jordan Bommarito, Corporate Secretary, is an active member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction team. Jordan’s primary focus is on branding, marketing, and merchandising for Bommarito Construction, as well as updating and maintaining the website. Jordan is currently working remotely from Oxford, Mississippi, while attending her senior year at the University of Mississippi- Ole Miss, where she is studying Dietetics and Nutrition. Jordan is excited to see the opportunities and experiences that Bommarito Construction has to offer and looks forward to playing an active role in the company’s future.

Brooke Garner
(Project Accountant)

Brooke Garner joined the Bommarito Construction family in 2016. She is a proud graduate of Saint Louis University and has over seventeen years of experience in the industry. Brooke really enjoys the friendly environment and how well everyone works together in the office. She looks forward to her time at Bommarito Construction.

Lisa Onesty
(Project Accountant)

Lisa has been working at J.W. Bommarito Construction for almost 3 years now. She has been in the construction industry for 18 years. She previously worked for a few construction firms within the Saint Louis area, as well as being a project accountant for a general contractor. Lisa has an extreme willingness to learn which is evident in her hard work in the office. Her proudest moment as a member of this team was getting to know and understand this side of the construction business; she says she learns something new everyday. Outside the office, Lisa has been active in working with the Missouri Republican Women’s Committee. Lisa says that J.W. Bommarito Construction feels like home.

Kaylee Sloan
(Administrative Assistant)

Kaylee Sloan is an Intern with J.W. Bommarito Construction. She is a recent graduate from the University of Missouri- Columbia, where she earned her Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance. She will be continuing her education at Saint Louis University School of Law, starting this Fall. While she is new to the construction industry she is excited to learn, and grow, with the Bommarito Construction Family.

Austin Glover, a Project Engineer, is the newest member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction family. He started as an Intern in 2016, and immediately took an interest in the company. Austin recently graduated from the University of Missouri- Columbia with a Bachelors of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Austin enjoys the variety of work that he is able to perform at J.W. Bommarito Construction, as well as the personalities he has the privilege to work with.

“I have enjoyed my past year with J.W. Bommarito Construction, and look forward to new experiences and a continued growth at the company and in the industry.”

Chris Pay
(Project Manager/Estimator)

Chris Pay joined the Bommarito team in Fall, 2016. Prior to joining Bommarito, Chris worked in St. Louis as a designer and project manager with a landscape design-build firm. Chris uses his experience in the landscape industry to assist Bommarito Construction with estimating and project management. His experience with software programs, such as, AutoCAD and Trimble Business Center, allow him to aid Bommarito in the production of as-built drawings, earthwork takeoffs, and plan development. Chris holds a Bachelors of Science in Agronomy from Mississippi State University and a Masters of Landscape Architecture (MLA) from Clemson University. In his free time, Chris enjoys spending time outdoors, cycling, and volunteering as a Master Gardner with the Missouri Botanical Garden.

Each day provides new and exciting challenges which J.W. Bommarito provides the essential tools and resources to tackle and manage. (Project Manager/Estimator)

Collin Greene, Estimator and Project Manager, has been a with J.W. Bommarito Construction since January of 2016. Collin has been active in the construction industry for years, with experience spanning from the landscaping side of construction to working for a general contractor. Along with his experience, Collin holds a Bachelors in Construction Management and a Minor in Business from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). Collin looks forward to the many opportunities, experiences, and years to come at J.W. Bommarito Construction and is extremely happy with the amount of guidance and assistance in helping him become a valuable member of the team.

“I enjoy working with my colleagues. From the day I started here, everyone has accepted me into my role almost as another family member. I can go to anyone in the office and know that they are going to guide me in the right direction. Furthermore, I feel as though I have been given the opportunity to succeed with the equipment, tools, and atmosphere here at J.W. Bommarito Construction. Doug Frey
(Project Manager/Estimator)

Doug Frey has been working at J.W. Bommarito Construction for 1 year. He has been working in the construction industry since 1993 serving in every facet, including, third party inspector, subcontractor, general contractor, and owner. Doug studied at SIUE (Southern Illinois University Edwardsville) receiving his B.S. degree in construction management and engineering with a minor in business. Due to his limited time here at J.W. Bommarito Construction, Doug feels that his biggest accomplishments are yet to come. He hopes to turn the grading division into an integral and profitable part of the company. Doug is an active member of the local Knights of Columbus Council, which is responsible for providing services and funding for local charities in the St. Louis area. As a fairly new member to the J.W. Bommarito Construction team, Doug has noticed all of his co-workers are helpful and willing to lend a hand when needed. He feels there is a true team mentality here.

“During my time at Bommarito Construction I have been impressed by the desire to ever improve the systems in place. This includes not being afraid to explore advances in construction technology that may benefit the company. Forever improving is a good description of the company as a whole.

Michael Altman
(Project Manager/Estimator)

Michael Altman is a dedicated Project Manager here at J.W. Bommarito Construction. Starting in August of 2015, Michael brought with him years of experience in the industry; previously an inspector for Missouri American Water. Michael uses his expertise in the industry to successfully work and complete numerous, incredible, projects. He looks forward to a continued career full of experiences and opportunities for growth and success, with the Bommarito Construction family. Michael is very proud of the values that are evident in J.W. Bommarito Construction. He feels there is a sense of pride and determination to be the best of the best. J.W. Bommarito Construction strives to get the job done in a timely manner with a dedication to being professional and accountable to the customers, employees, and peers alike.

Aaron Dohrer
(Project Manager/Purchasing Agent)

Aaron assists Bommarito Construction in the role of material purchasing and supply. Aaron joined the Bommarito team in 2016, bringing with him 18 years of experience in the construction industry. His previous experience allowed him to gain valuable knowledge and experience with material products and specifications which he shares with the Bommarito team. He has supplied various sewer and water projects, ranging from small residential jobs to large commercial and municipal projects. Aaron is proud of the role he plays in every job that J.W. Bommarito is awarded. He feels a great sense of pride working with both the project managers in the office and the foremen in the field. Outside of work, Aaron enjoys managing and coaching youth sports and competing in BBQ competitions.

Chad Hitchock
(Director of Field Operations)

Chad Hitchock has been a proud member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction team for 13 years. He has over twenty years of experience in the construction industry. Chad takes pride in the fact that the team makes it a priority to get the jobs done in a timely manner. He also feels that J.W. Bommarito and the teamwork very hard to get the job done right the first time.

“For 13 years I have been part of one of the best companies in Saint Louis, and we have grown to be one of the biggest sewer companies in Saint Louis with our willingness to work with our customers and not just for them.” 

Matt Minson
(Project Superintendent)

Matt Minson has been with J.W. Bommarito Construction for 9 years. He has been a member of the Laborers Union since 1999. Matt has seven years of previous experience in contracting. At J.W. Bommarito Construction, Matt started out as a laborer and worked his way to the ladder to Foreman. He is very proud of the way the office and field workers come together to bid jobs and keep the work steady.

Kory Belcher
(Project Superintendent)

Kory Belcher has been an active and established member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction family since 2010. Kory has been an integral asset to our operations with his 13 years of experience in the sewer industry with the last 8 of those years contributing to a multitude of projects for Bommarito Construction. He works daily to ensure that there is active and successful communication between the field staff and the office employees. Kory assists in aiding relations between all members of J.W. Bommarito Construction by overseeing and uploading plans and submitting RFI’s back and forth to PlanGrid. Kory performs his day to day duties with the proud support of his wife and two children!

Jim Bergh
(Survey Coordinator)

Jim Bergh has been a member of the J.W. Bommarito Construction team for 4 years. He has brought with him over twenty-five years of experience, including extensive experience in performing ALTA, Boundary, topographic and construction layout surveys. Jim feels that his biggest accomplishment at J.W. Bommarito Construction was learning how to and building machine files for GPS navigation on the grading equipment. He is a proud supporter of the United Cerebral Palsy Foundation and volunteers for local St. Louis organizations with his family.
